Stacy Elizabeth
Hall, M.Ed., the
daughter of a Martha’s Vineyard native, grew up hearing
the stories of the Island. She has a Masters Degree in Education
and her mission is to motivate passion in children by sharing
Katama’s story. Stacy lives in Mont Clare, Pennsylvania
with her husband Steve and her two children, Katama and
Zak.
Kate Taylor,
(www.katetaylor.com)
born in New England and raised in North Carolina, Kate's
dual musical heritage is one she shared with brothers James,
Livingston, Hugh, and her late brother Alex. Kate's roots
run deep in the soul, gospel and rockabilly sounds of her
southern upbringing and in the literate folk, pop and Appalachian
stylings that comprise the balance of her family's musical
legacy. Though her musical roots are rich and diverse she
blends them seamlessly and effortlessly.
Taylor Brown
has been singing, playing guitar and writing songs since
he can remember. The Taylor Brown
Trio was formed in 2004 and is comprised of Taylor
Brown on lead vocals, guitars (acoustic and electric), and
harmonicas, Rigel Byrum-Ridge on the drums and backing vocals,
and Andrew Lipow on bass and backing vocals. Taylor has
been actively touring with folk-singer Kate Taylor since
2003.
Jannette Vanderhoop
is an Aquinnah Wampanoag and the illustrator of The
Legend of Katama. She is a 2004 graduate of Pitzer
College in California where she majored in Anthropology
and Environmental Studies. Jannette loves art and aspires
to one day become a teacher.
Judy Pfeiffer,
Martha's Vineyard artist, provided the magical illustrations
for Chappaquiddick Lullaby.
